ADVANTAGES:

QUIETING:     All exhaust systems rapidly expand and contract because of

                             exhaust pressure, which often creates system vibration.

CORROSION    Simple header wrap traps moisture between the wrap and

DPF               If your diesel APU incorporates a particulate trap as part of

TEMPERATURE:  the exhaust unit, blankets will retain much

                             more heat inside the exhaust pipe than an unblanketed      unit.

Tests have shown an increase of more than 100˚ C through the particulate trap when using our blanket.  This higher temperature helps the DPF run cleaner and more effectively trap particles.

COOLER           By keeping the hot gases contained inside the exhaust pipe,

HOUSING          exhaust blankets keep the interior of the housing

TEMPERATURE:  unit much cooler, protecting sensitive components. Given an

                             exhaust pipe temperature of 800˚F, one can expect a blanket

                             surface temperature of 260˚F.

APPEARANCE:     APU exhaust blankets are custom designed to your specific exhaust dimensions.  All designs are CAD generated for consistency from one order to the next.  Our blankets give a professional finish to your APU exhaust system.  Standard color is grey and other colors are available.  All hardware is stainless steel for appearance and long life.
